We received the following pictures from Ken Bolen retired Senior Chief USCG and owner of Miniature Dream Models.  The pictures are of a prototype model of a Vietnam 82 footer.  I spoke with Ken and he said the model is 29 1/2  inches long and an exact detailed replica of a Vietnam  82 footer. Ken also plans to build a smaller scale model.  Ken is shipping this prototype to the reunion for everyone to look at.  He would like your comments and any changes you think might need to be made or anything  he may missed anything. Ken states these are not kits but scratch built models made of high quality hard woods and hand crafted by highly skilled professional model builders.  There are a number of accessories which you can buy such as a display case, upgraded stand or personalized plaque. You can have your boat painted either peace time white or Vietnam gray and have you boats name and hull number put on your model. Ken has been making and selling high quality miniature models for quite some time and has a lot of different  models  for sale including  several USCG Lightships, a  USCG 47 foot motor life boat (MLB), USCG 44 foot Rescue Boat and a Vietnam era Navy Swift Boat.
