The Vietnam War "In Memory"  Memorial Plaque Project

ATTN: Ms. Ruth Coder Fitzgerald

808 Charlotte Street
Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401

Dear Ms. Fitzgerald:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Era Veterans Association of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Veterans Action Center we endorse this endeavor to place a plaque at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. to be "In Memory" of those veterans who have died as a result of PTSD and Agent Orange and other ailments related to their service in Vietnam but do not or will not have their names remembered on The Wall at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.  These veterans died as a result of the war even though their dying was not as result of combat wounds.

We  believe that this plaque will be a more of a healing process for the whole country, especially for those families and friends that have lost loved ones since coming home from the war.

Sincerely,

Charles Stallings
Chairman of the Board of Directors
