I would like to thank you for helping to ensure the passage of HR 3293 authorizing placement of a ground-level memorial plaque within the 13-acre site of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial with an inscription to honor veterans whose postwar deaths are attributable to their service, but whose names cannot be added to The Wall.

The president signed the legislation June 15, creating Public Law 106-214.
